House GOPLeader Kevin McCarthy blasts Democrats as redefining recession instead of dealing with it
McCarthy targeted the CHIPS Act that passed the Senate on Wednesday, which he said he would vote against because of its cost. His remarks shortly after the Bureau of Economic Analysis released the report also outlined some of his plans for the Republicans' projected takeover of the House after the November midterm elections."Democrats would rather redefine a recession than restore a healthy economy," McCarthy said.
"Even as we face historic global challenges, we are on the right path, and we will come through this transition stronger and more secure," the statement read.
