The D.C. Board of Elections ruled Monday that Kenyan R. McDuffie was not qualified to run for attorney general.
D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson said Wednesday that some members of the public have reached out to him in hopes the council might consider emergency legislation that could clarify the language in the statute.
“My understanding is that an appeal’s going to be filed in court. The council’s next meeting is in two weeks,” Mendelson said. “For the moment, we’ll see how that plays out.”
