Following the closing of the transaction, Rx Savings will become part of McKesson’s Prescription Technology Solutions business.

UpdatedIrving-based McKesson Corporation announced today a definitive agreement to acquire Kansas-based Rx Savings Solutions in a transaction that could value $875 million, according to a news release.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory review, and is expected to close in the second half of fiscal 2023. Overland Park-based Rx Savings Solutions has built patented software that provides transparency in prescription drug costs. The company contracts directly with health plans and large self-funded employers to lower prescription drug costs for its more than 17 million members.
