The winning numbers for last Tuesday's drawing were 8, 14, 30, 45, 61 and Mega Ball 12.Venus Jones hopes to use the 1.2 billion to help fund her nonprofit, Heavenly Orphans.Many players flocked to a store in the Chicago area that said it's one of the luckiest places to buy tickets.
"I'm feeling quite lucky!" Dinah Clay said. "I'm going to help my family and I'm going to have a good time." "If I won $1.2 billion, I would retire and probably set up some kind of business and probably invest," Cecilia Duncan said. "I think everybody wants a piece of $1.25 billion; I've always joked that $20 million is not enough," suburban gas station owner John Archer said.The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.6 million.Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
