Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Lay Off London Staff
As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle settle into their new life, the royal couple have laid off their London staff, PEOPLE confirms.
Since stepping down as senior members of the royal family, Harry and Meghan have been residing in British Columbia, Canada, though it is unclear where they will choose to permanently settle down with their 9-month-old son Archie.A source previously told PEOPLE that they have looked at houses in Los Angeles and will “likely have houses in both places.”
“We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages,” the statement went on. “This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.
