The next generation of Mercedes' Vito and V-Class vans will arrive in 2026, and they'll be fully electric
Mercedes has released official ‘spy photos’ of their next-generation midsize electric vans. Built on the VAN.EA platform, these models will feature options for both front- and all-wheel drive. If all goes as planned, the vans will offer Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous driving systems by the decade's end. Mercedes is giving spy photographers a break as they’ve released official pictures of their next-generation of vans.
Mercedes didn’t have much to say about the prototypes, but reiterated all newly developed medium and large vans” will ride on the VAN.EA architecture starting in 2026. The company went on to say the platform will allow for “clear differentiation between privately positioned vans in the luxury segment and commercial vans in the premium segment.” In effect, it sounds like there will be greater separation between the Vito and V-Class.
