Not ideal news coming out of Met Eireann this morning
Met Eireann has issued a country-wide advisory this week as officials warned that heavy rain could cause localised flooding.
A forecaster said: "This week will be wet across Ireland. Spells of rain, which will be heavy at times, coupled with already saturated soils may lead to localised flooding. It will be windy at times also." "This morning, persistent rain will continue to move northeastwards, mainly affecting Leinster and Ulster. It will become more patchy in Connacht and Munster. The rain will clear northwards by noon and this afternoon will be drier and brighter with sunny spells. Mild and blustery with fresh, gusty westerly winds and afternoon temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees," the Irish meteorologist said.
