Young Mets slugger delivered the biggest hit of his career against the Cardinals

Cardinals center fielder Michael Siani tracked the ball well, following it to the warning track in center field. Siani leaped for the ball, which sailed over his glove for a 404-foot home run.“I wish I could say what I said in the dugout, but that wouldn’t be good,” Mets reliever Reed Garrett said regarding Vientos’s home run. “It was awesome. That was clutch... It’s something that we needed.”
And it continued in Syracuse, where in 23 games he slashed .302/.388/.535 with five home runs and 22 RBIs. He doesn’t focus much on what’s happened in the past or what could happen in the future. Vientos just wants to go through his progression day by day.
