The Eagles running back posted 199 total yards and two touchdowns, showing off his hurdling skills inParsons was particularly astonished by Barkley’s reverse hurdle of Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones.
While many fans have described Barkley’s performances as those of “vintage Saquon,” Parsons argues that his fellow Penn State alumnus has always been capable of dominating the league. “For Saquon, this is a blessing in disguise just off the strength of people are seeing what you’re capable of when people appreciate you,” Parsons“The Giants did not appreciate him and now the rest of the league is facing the consequences of the Giants’ stupidity. This is always who he was. I don’t want to say he lost his confidence, but he probably lost confidence in the system, the people that’s blocking for him.
Monday wasn’t the first time Parsons has criticized the Giants for their treatment of Barkley. When Barkley and the Eagles defeated the Giants in Week 7, ParsonsParsons took some time to explain his belief that Dallas can still turn things around this season. Parsons said the Cowboys can benefit from avoiding self-inflicted mistakes.“They always say it’s not over until the fat lady sings and I ain’t hear her sing yet,” Parsons said. “I ain’t hear her sing once yet.
