The Democratic National Committee has been basing debate qualifications on a combination of polling and fundraising. That has changed this time around, as the DNCThere is still a polling threshold of at least 10% support in four national DNC-approved polls or at least 12% support in two DNC-approved Nevada or South Carolina polls.
