The Michigan Wolverines are having a dream season and sports columnist (and Wisconsin Badger) JasonGay is looking for remote islands to move to
Let’s just get it out of the way: I need to move to another country. Preferably a remote island, without electricity, television or access to the Internet.
You’ve never heard so much excitement inside The Wall Street Journal. Five out of every three people in the newsroom are Wolverines. To them, this magical Michigan season is bigger than Dow 30,000. It’s bigger than the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting. Here’s the undeniable part: Michigan deserves this moment. They earned it. The Wolverines weren’t ranked in the AP poll to begin the year, and then went out andin which they have gone 12-1 and beaten everyone except for one no-good-very -bad-day versus the Spartans in East Lansing.
The victory was a massive deal. The OSU game had been such an embarrassing albatross. Harbaugh had never won it as coach. The Buckeyes have been everyone’s nightmare in the Big Ten, but especially the Wolverines. We should probably talk about the three other teams in the playoff: the No. 1 ranked Tide, No. 3 UGA, and No. 4 Cincinnati.
