Conley, who is now in his 17th NBA season, joined the Timberwolves last season after a midseason trade from the Utah Jazz. As their starting point guard this season, Conley has helped lead the Timberwolves to a 39-16 record – the best in the entire Western Conference – while averaging 10.6 points and 6.4 assists per game.
Conley, who led Ohio State alongside Greg Oden to a national championship game appearance in his lone season as a Buckeye , had been set to become a free agent after this season.
