The “Flowers” singer explained that her marriage with the actor was built off of “trauma” they dealt from the loss of their Malibu home in 2018.
“That was another moment where the work, the performance, the character came first,” she said.
The actress explained she and the Australian actor tied the knot in December 2019 — a month after losing their beloved Malibu home in a fire.At the time, Cyrus said they were “just trying to rebuild as quickly as [they] could.”, the “Party in the U.S.A.” singer also recalled the undeniable chemistry between her and the Australian actor when they first met on the set of “The Last Song” in 2009.
“I think one of the elements that made that movie feel so special was it was watching two very young people fall in love with each other, which was happening in real time and real life,” the “Hannah Montana” alum gushed.
