District Attorney Keith Blackwood is disputing those comments, and several others.
The letter came out after Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch sat down with FOX10 News saying Prichard PD is “failing its citizens.”
“Frankly, a disgusting insinuation. We are trying our best to serve the citizens of Prichard, race has nothing to do with trying to make our community safer,” Blackwood said.He also says there’ve been issues with Prichard Police since he’s been in office.“I think that letter showed a clear lack of understanding of the process,” Blackwood said. “So I’m looking forward to meeting with officials from the city of Prichard and the police department.
