Paperwork filed in U.S. District Court indicates that Fluker intends to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit murder for hire. His attorney, Gordon Armstrong, told FOX10 News that the plea is part of a deal with prosecutors. But he declined to discuss the details because the plea bargain has not been finalized.“We’ll definitely have it reviewed and signed by then,” Armstrong said.
The indictment alleges a wide-ranging conspiracy that prosecutors allege John Fitzgerald McCarroll Jr. orchestrated over several months in 2022 and 2023. Fluker’s role, according to the indictment, involved a fatal at the Bank Nightlife club on Azalea Road in September 2022 that resulted in the death of Derrick Shavers.at a hearing in state court that McCarroll offered to pay Fluker to kill a man at the club. The detective testified that a witness saw Fluker get a gun from McCarroll but that Fluker shot the wrong man. Shavers, according to police, was an innocent bystander.in this case. That leaves a sentencing range of 20 years to life in prison. Fluker also still faces state charges.
