That was really interesting. I found the whole story of your character so interesting too, in the end, when they say what happened and how he remarried and his kids were taken care of by the grandparents. I really liked that [’s Candy] was like, “I really want to have an affair with you.” And he's more passive. You played it so well, Jesse. I had not read the book, so for somebody like me, I was like, “Oh my God, this is so interesting.” My daughter and I loved it. We watched it really fast.
You learn a lot about people and behaviors. It's almost like a social study. I had a woman come up to me at a party. She came over and I had a glazed over look of—I thought she was a fan. She was like, “You don't remember me.” That was her intro. And I was like, “Oh God, I'm sorry.” And then it was actually somebody I knew, but I hadn't seen them for 25 years.
