The 420 union workers walked off the job in a disagreement over pay raises and a proposed end to tiered health care and retirement benefits.

Some of the 420 Molson Coors workers continue to strike outside one of the biggest breweries in the United States. Workers at the Fort Worth facility along Interstate 35W went on strike last month over pay and other benefits., and Molson Coors, are still far apart in negotiations over issues such as pay raises and an end to the company’s two-tiered health care and retirement benefits.Last month, the union rejected an offer from Molson Coors that included a 99-cent raise over three years.

“We’re still brewing, packaging and shipping out of Fort Worth and have actually exceeded our production expectations each week since the strike began,” he said. “Our other five U.S. breweries are absorbing extra production, and we deliberately built up distributor inventories earlier in the year.

For some, it means cutting back on expenses. Joe Builtron, a warehouse worker for 12 years, said he had to tell his three children that money was going to be tight for a bit.
