More than 50% say money has negative mental health impact
As the economy has worsened, so have Americans' feelings about their money. In turn, money issues are leading to negative impacts on mental health.that 52% of U.S. adults say that money has a negative impact on their mental health. Those impacts include anxiety, stress, worrisome thoughts, loss of sleep and depression. That number is way up from 2022, where 42% indicated money was having a negative mental health impact.
“Americans are feeling pretty bad about their finances, with inflation at the center of many of these money worries," saysKRLD's John Liddle talked with Rossman about some deeper findings from the Bankrate survey.
