Dozens of cats and dogs were seized by the SPCA of Texas and the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office after a complaint of animal cruelty on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022 in Hunt County.Dozens of cats and dogs were found ill, malnourished and living in muck on a property over the weekend in Hunt County, authorities said.
. The remaining animals were outside without adequate access to food, water or shelter, while others were confined to pens. Videos taken by the SPCA of Texas showed at least 20 dogs hopping between a dusty, blackened pull-out mattress and a brown recliner. Two emaciated cats huddled in an aged basket nearby, while other yapping dogs ran through a decrepit bathroom and adjoining room, where trash, feces and empty bags of pet food coated the floor.
