More than a dozen homes in Jefferson County are being evacuated due to a severed gas line.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said it has taken one person into custody after the individual crashed into a residence while fleeing the scene of a crash near 9004 West Coco Drive in Littleton.

A gas line was severed during the crash, authorities said. There are no injuries associated with the vehicle running into the home.Update: The driver of the vehicle is in custody.
