Russian media say the head of Russia’s Federal Security Service has told President Vladimir Putin that 11 people have been detained after gunmen stormed a concert hall in Moscow and opened fire on the crowd. Russian state news agency Tass says four were directly involved in Friday's attack. At least 93 people were killed, including three children.

Videos posted online showed gunmen in the venue shooting civilians at point-blank range. The roof of the theatre, where crowds had gathered Friday for a performance by the Russian rock band Picnic, collapsed in the early hours of Saturday morning as firefighters spent hours fighting a fire which erupted during the attack.
However, a U.S. intelligence official told The Associated Press that U.S. intelligence agencies had confirmed that IS was responsible for the attack. In aftermath of the attack, some Russian lawmakers were quick to accuse Ukraine. Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, denied any involvement.
