A motorcyclist who rode from Colorado Springs to Denver at speeds of 170 mph has been sentenced to 14 days in jail, $2,300 in fines
Motorcyclist Rendon Dietzmann posted videos of himself riding from Colorado Springs to Denver at speeds of up to 170 mph. Earlier this year, he was extradited from his home state of Texas, and pled guilty to a charge of speed exhibition in Colorado. Dietzmann has been sentenced to 14 days in jail, fined nearly $2,300, and has received 12 points on his license.
The rider was charged menacing, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, speeding 40 mph over the speed limit, engaging in an exhibition of speed, engaging in a speed contest, and driving a vehicle without license plates, but eventually reached a deal with the district attorney's office and pled guilty to only speed exhibition. https://www.youtube.
