Fans of some New York and New Jersey teams will have a new way to watch their teams without a cable package.

Madison Square Garden Networks unveiled its own streaming platform, MSG+, on Wednesday. The service will launch this summer with subscription costs at a $29.99 monthly rate, a $309.99 annual rate or a per-game rate of $9.99 for the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres. Users who already pay for MSG through their cable providers won't be charged extra and MSG+ will replace MSG GO as the company's streaming platform.

"MSG Networks is delighted to be able to offer fans more ways to watch our compelling and award-winning content," Andrea Greenberg, MSG Networks President and CEO, in a statement."The introduction of MSG+ this summer will be a significant milestone for our company and will offer a mix of subscription options for fans who do not subscribe to a traditional, bundled pay television subscription."This announcement comes at a critical juncture for regional sports networks and streaming services for professional sports in general.
