A 21-year-old man is in critical condition, and a father in his 40s was shot after several suspects hid in bushes and attempted to rob them as they were returning home within minutes of each other, HPD said.

The couple then decides to leave before the SUV begins to back up as if it were going to hit them. Shortly after, a suspect starts to open fire on the car, hitting the man in his back. As this happened, a family was returning home from the grocery store and began unloading groceries when at least two or three suspects approached them from the side of the house.
