Elon Musk again claimed that the 'old' version of the social media platform, now known as X, used to be an 'arm of the government.'
Elon Musk said that conservative users of X, formerly Twitter, were suppressed '10 times the rate' of liberal users prior to him taking over the company.Musk, the platform's CEO, obtained X in October 2022 and quickly made headlines after signing off on a series of reports published by independent journalist Matt Taibbi in late 2022 nicknamed the 'Twitter Files.
'Now, that's because old Twitter was fundamentally controlled by the far left. It was like, completely controlled by the far left.'Musk and his allies have repeatedly amplified claims that the U.S. government worked to censor stories involving the 2020 New York Post article concerning Hunter Biden's laptop.
