A youth basketball team from West Orange on Saturday protested racist comments by Clark Mayor Sal Bonaccorso. They did so as a basketball tournament kicked off at Clark's Arthur L. Johnson High School.

UPDATE: This story was later updated to reflect the team left the tournament in protest after they were told to remove the shirts.

Standing on the sideline donning bright green shirts that read “equality” on the back and “end racism” on the front, a team of seventh-graders watched as the opposing basketball team scored the first basket.
