Vincent Doffont suffered a medical episode after returning from a training exercise.The City of Harrison is mourning the loss of one of its bravest.

Prior to that, Doffont served as a patrolman on the Harrison Police Department, as a Hudson County sheriff’s officer and served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, completing two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as a rifleman.“Firefighter Vincent Doffont was definitely one of a kind and we will miss him,” said Harrison Fire Department Deputy Chief Henry Richard. “He had a carefree, give you the shirt off his back way about him that everyone around him gravitated to.
