N.J. Democrats just booted ex-N.J. Senate president Sweeney from panel redrawing legislative districts
has been removed as a member of the commission tasked with redrawing New Jersey’s legislative districts, the leader of the state’s Democratic Party announced Wednesday.
“No person or organization’s goals and ambitions are above the interests of our party and the people of this State,” Jones added. Sweeney said he learned of his removal two minutes before the news broke Wednesday. He stressed that he signed a “loyalty agreement” to vote alongside other Democratic members of the commission and that he has “met every condition.”
