The family of Jonathan Morris II spent days searching for the man before his body was recovered in Cumberland County

Miguel A. Perez, 21, is accused of killing Jonathan Morris II, 23, in the early hours of Thursday morning on Cottage Avenue in Bridgeton, then disposing of his body in neighboring Hopewell Township, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed in the case.

Perez was found in possession of a stolen handgun at his Bridgeton residence, police said, along with other firearms. Perez, who was placed in Cumberland County Jail pending court hearings, is charged with first-degree murder, disturbing, moving or concealing human remains, tampering with evidence, obstruction, escape and multiple weapons offenses.
