A Cumberland County man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was stabbed early Friday, according to police.
Bridgeton police responded to Walnut Street around 12:30 a.m. and found a 54-year-old city resident suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was listed in critical but stable condition Friday morning, police said. Officers arrested Daniel Perez, 25, of Bridgeton, shortly after the incident, according to police. He was charged with aggravated assault and weapons possession offenses and placed in Cumberland County Jail pending court hearings.The case remains under investigation and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Bridgeton Police Detective Mark Yoshioka at 856-451-0033.
