Authorities have charged a Gloucester County woman with beating her 80-year-old mother to death with a broomstick last week.
Florence Dicriscio, suffered head and chest injuries and died days later at a hospital in Philadelphia. Barr grabbed her mother by the arms and fell on top of her, according to the first criminal complaint filed by Washington Township Police. Dicriscio initially complained of pain in her arms and “showed signs of injury to both arms,” police said in the report.
She was then transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where she died Tuesday, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.Following her mother’s death, Barr was additionally charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter and fourth-degree weapons possession.
