N30,000 minimum wage: NLC, TUC demand quick implementation

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Bayelsa State chapter, has called on state governors to implement the new minimum wage recently passed into law.

According to Ndiomu, the N30,000 new minimum wage for workers, though barely enough, is a welcome development and a gift workers appreciate. “In our own state, Bayelsa, the Governor has agreed that he will pay once it is signed into law. We are waiting for the process of implementation so that every state will follow,” he stated.
