The National Aeronautics and Space Administration says it is targeting a Monday launch for a resupply mission to the International Space Station.

The 28th resupply mission for the ISS is currently scheduled to be launched at 11:15 a.m. EDT on Monday from Kennedy Space Center in Florida."Meteorologists with Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s 45th Weather Squadron predict a 60% chance of favorable weather conditions for liftoff. Primary weather concerns include flight through participation, the cumulus cloud rule, and liftoff winds," the space agency said Sunday.

The mission, which is using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and a Dragon spacecraft, was scheduled to launch on Saturday at 12:35 p.m. EDT but was delayed to Sunday"to allow more time for vehicle preparations and for weather conditions to improve." The Sunday launch was postponed to Monday due to"high winds in the recovery area," per the space agency.Officials at NASA say the Dragon spacecraft will deliver food, supplies, equipment, and new science experiments to the International Space Station, in addition to a pair of new solar panels for the ISS.

NASA says the new International Space Station Roll Out Solar Arrays will allow for a 30% increase in production of power compared to the current solar panels on the space station.
