NASCAR driver Cody Ware arrested, charged with felony assault.

Cody Ware, a NASCAR Cup Series driver with Rick Ware Racing, was arrested Monday and charged with felony assault by strangulation and misdemeanor assault on a female. He has been suspended indefinitely from NASCAR competition, the race organization announced Monday.Road & Track

Monday afternoon. As of the time of that call, Ware is being held on those charges and has a bond set at $3000.on Monday, which follows how the series has generally dealt with concerns of off-track violence. Rick Ware Racing did not immediately respond toRick Ware Racing announced on Saturday that Ware wouldinstead calling NASCAR Truck Series driver Matt Crafton up for the remainder of the weekend. Ware had made 7 starts this season for his father's team.
