Natalie Portman's Oscars dress paid tribute to the women who weren't nominated
It's not the first time Portman has taken a stand against a lack of female representation. At the 2018 Golden Globes, when presenting an award the actor quipped “and now, here are the all male nominees” before announcing the names.
The latest statement comes following backlash over the Academy's decision not to nominate any female filmmakers in the best-director category at the 2020 Oscars.
