National Treasure: Edge of History star Antonio Cipriano shares his hopes for Nicolas Cage's appearance in a potential second season and hints at how Ben Gates is felt throughout the first season. Disney+ continues the adventure of National Treasure with the new series National Treasure: Edge of History, which centers on a new mystery, a new treasure, and a young group of treasure hunters.

During an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Cipriano explained that Cage's character Ben Gates plays an important role in the first season.
Antonio Cipriano: I mean, of course, [we] would love to have Nicolas Cage in it. His character is so iconic. And he plays a big role in this even if his face isn't in it. He's still Ben Gates, he's still the character. His presence is very known. And obviously, we would love to have him. We would love to have everybody from the movies come in and be a part of it because it is still the same universe and there are endless possibilities. 100%.
Ben was motivated by his family legacy in National Treasure and National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. In the first, he is searching for a treasure that has been a myth in his family for generations, while in National Treasure 2 Ben is working to clear his family's good name. National Treasure 2 introduces an entirely new mystery and treasure hunt with the President's Secret Book. While kidnapped by Ben, the President asks him to check out page 47, curious about his thoughts.
Fans have been craving answers to this mystery for fifteen years, and National Treasure: Edge of History could finally explore this mystery. Riley Poole, who will offer the new band of hunters advice, could drop hints about him and Ben continuing to work on this problem. National Treasure 3 is in development, so if the page 47 reveal is at the heart of the movie, then National Treasure: Edge of History could lay the groundwork for Cage's triumphant return.
