North Texans should expect above-normal temperatures and elevated fire danger through Wednesday.
Another warm day is in store for North Texas with temperatures returning to the 70s later today under partly sunny skies. A light wind today will help lower the fire danger from yesterday.
A cold front will approach Wednesday, bringing a brief chance of showers and a couple thunderstorms early Wednesday. The better chance will be to the east of DFW. Any showers that affect DFW will be gone by mid-morning Wednesday. Skies will clear out with afternoon sunshine and mild west breeze Wednesday.
Chillier air is set to return Thursday with a high back down into the 50s. Looking ahead to the weekend, a chance of rain is in the forecast Saturday. Highs will be in the 50s this weekend. While the past few weeks have featured above normal temperatures, the pattern looks to change next week. Below normal temperatures are likely as we approach the end of the month.
