GOP Rep. Kasama has announced her bid to represent Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District, one of the state’s most competitive districts that includes parts of Las Vegas and Boulder City.
More Democratic voters were added to the district in 2021, when theredrew state and congressional districts. Nevada has also seen a sharp rise in nonpartisan voters, though that is partially due to the state's automatic voter registration grouping new voters as nonpartisan.
"Today we see more crime, higher living expenses, and uncontrolled health care costs," she said in a statement."Students are graduating with a lack of basic education and are unprepared to enter the workforce. There is a basic lack of accountability and personal responsibility. This is not the American way of life I grew up with."
