A fire broke out in New Jersey on Monday, destroying trailers meant to be used for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
A fire broke out in New Jersey on Monday, destroying trailers meant to be used for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade., the groundskeeper for Royal Buses, Inc. in Kearny, New Jersey arrived at the site at 6 a.m. on Nov. 21 to find the fire. The flames quickly spread to seven buses and around the parking area before firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The groundskeeper was not injured as a result. The parent company, On Time Elite, reportedly provides buses and trailers for special events including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as film shoots. The buses that were burned were reportedly worth $670,000 each.
The fire will not directly affect the parade, as parade organizers told New Jersey 101.5 that other buses will be used.
