BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Intermittent fasting has become a popular diet in recent years. Those who participate in it eat within an eight- to 10-hour window, then fast for the remainder of the day.. So now, Peterson and her team are ramping up a new study to find out if intermittent fasting can reverse the aging process and make some people biologically younger. The diet wouldn’t subtract numbers from your age, but rather make you feel younger. UAB is looking for people between the ages of 25-45 who are wanting to lose weight to participate in a study to learn if intermittent fasting can slow down the aging process.
