UPDATE: Police have released surveillance video showing a fight that occurred hours before a body was found near a dumpster in Italian Village.
confirmed with police that a male's body was found near the intersection of East 3rd Avenue and North 4th Street with an apparent gunshot wound.Surveillance video showed the victim walking to the dumpsters just before 2:30 a.m. along with another male.
The two began fighting and two others, one male and one female, ran into view from Hamlet Street. This male was seen reaching into the front pocket of his shorts before he joined the fight.Officers are calling on the community to help identify the three people in the surveillance video. Anyone with information is asked to contact Columbus police at 614 645-4146 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614 461-8477.
