Once the law comes into effect people aged 14 or younger will not be able to legally purchase cigarettes or tobacco products in their lifetime.
Reuters the restrictions on sales will be rolled out in phases starting in 2024 with a sharp reduction in authorized cigarette sellers, followed by reduced nicotine requirements in 2025 and the beginning of a “smoke-free” generation in 2027.
