Here's your first look at an even faster Porsche Taycan EV
is approaching its first major facelift, and Stuttgart’s engineers have already started testing hotter versions of the EV at the Nürburgring. Naturally, our spy photographers have caught them on camera, and it’s now possible to see what the future holds for the J1 platform-based sports EV.
Our spy photographers have spotted not one but two new iterations of the Taycan – and both look to bring even more performance to the current model range. The most obvious changes are at the rear: one prototype features a huge GT3-style spoiler while the other features a more discreet duck tail spoiler.
Interestingly, both cars also feature camouflage around the wheel arches, suggesting more aero furniture underneath. And more downforce tends to mean more power… CAR understands the larger-winged Taycan may be touching four figures of bhp, and the more modest car will have a handsome increase over the hottest Turbo S model.
If the larger wing looks out of place, don’t be too alarmed; it’s possible Stuttgart’s engineers are playing with downforce levels before making a wing more sympathetic to the Taycan’s style.
