The NHTSA is investigating complaints about Tesla Model X seatbelts that are not properly secured at the factory and can separate from their anchors.
The Model X was redesigned with a new interior and other updates in 2021.The Model X is available with seven seats.
According to the reports, the issue involves "a failure of the front seat belt to remain connected to the seat belt anchor pretensioner." Neither complaint involved a collision.The NHTSA said the investigation will "assess the scope, frequency, and manufacturing processes associated with this condition."
