“This film is such a true cinematic experience because of Robert Eggers. A lot of times, these types of films are shot with green screens, but we shot on location and in the elements. Everything is authentic,” said Kidman. “To actually be shooting on the mountains during the day and the nights, and experiencing the freezing cold, and all the uncomfortable conditions—everything around you is authentic. It was a very unique experience. Not many films do this.
