Blumhouse Television is developing a new docuseries titled Nightmares of Nature, centering around animals facing true-life horrors in nature.
, with natural history producer Plimsoll Productions attached to produce. The project is currently not attached to any network or streamers.“It’s only natural to be scared about the things that go bump in the night, but Nightmares of Nature isn’t a projection of the supernatural. Once you start looking at the natural world, you will find things as terrifying as anything in a horror movie,” Plimsoll boss Alan Eyres said in a statement.
The upcoming project won’t be Blumhouse’s first venture into making a documentary series. The studio has previously produced crime thriller documentaries such as 2019’s Smiley Face Killers: The Hunt for Justice for Oxygen, 2020’s A Wilderness of Error for FX, 2022’s and Worst Roommate Ever for Netflix.Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
