Suns team owner Mat Ishbia fell back into his seat when Nikola Jokic extended his arm out trying to retrieve the ball.
Ishbia stood up while Jokic was trying to get the ball and fell backwards when Jokic extended his elbow. Jokic was trying to get the ball to put it in play.
Play was stopped, the play was reviewed and Jokic was called for unsportsmanlike conduct. Suns wing Josh Okogie went into the crowd for the ball and came out of there with it while security rushed to the scene. Ishbia was on the 2000 Michigan State national championship basketball team as a walk-on. He's close friends with Thomas, a Hall of Famer and two-time NBA champion.
Suns owner Mat Ishbia and Nikola Jokic just had a tense moment. Jokic received a technical foul for shoving Ishbia.
