Newly acquired goalie Eric Penney made 37 saves while making his debut with the Rush on Saturday after being picked up from the Philadelphia Wings.
“It feels great,” said Penney. “We’ve got a great locker room here and I’m glad to be a part of it. It was a battle. We treated this game like a playoff game. It’s good to get a win out of this.
Dillon Ward stopped 62 shots for Colorado as the Rush out-shot the Mammoth by a whopping margin, 72-46. Eli McLaughlin also tallied twice for Colorado, scoring with only 24.7 seconds left in regulation to send the game into OT.
