Birmingham police are investigating a double shooting in East Lake after two gunshot victims were taken to UAB Hospital in a private vehicle early Tuesday evening.
No one is in custody following the shooting in the 8200 block of Rugby Avenue, said Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Rod Mauldin. The extent of the victims’ injuries were not immediately known, Mauldin said, and no suspects were in custody as of Tuesday night.
