The Blum Fire has spread to 300 acres, according to Texas A&M Forest Service.

No homes were destroyed in the Hill County wildfire that started Wednesday, the Texas A&M Forest Service said late Thursday.the wildfire had destroyed five homes. One outbuilding was lost to the fire, the Thursday evening update confirmed.Texas A&M responded to a request for assistance about 3:15 p.m.

Wednesday near the city of Blum, about 65 miles from downtown Dallas. Since then, the fire has spread to about 300 acres and is 40% contained as ofAdam Turner, regional public information officer with Texas A&M Forest Service, said on Thursday the cause of the fire was still under investigation, but no injuries have been reported. A call for voluntary evacuation was lifted at 10 p.m. Wednesday.
